Rovensa Next is proud to announce its participation as a Gold Sponsor at the Biostimulants World Congress 2024, which will take place from November 12-15 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, USA. The firm will be welcoming visitors in booth D10.
This prestigious event, organized by New Ag International in partnership with EBIC, brings together leading experts, researchers, and industry innovators to discuss the future of biostimulants and sustainable agriculture.
One of the highlights of the many activities planned at the congress is the presentation of the latest research on soil health, soil metagenomics, and phosphorus recovery, showcasing how Rovensa Next’s innovations are driving sustainability in agriculture.
Strategic insights from Arne Pingel in the Keynote Panel
Arne Pingel, Head of Strategic Marketing at Rovensa Next, will be participating in the Keynote Opening Discussion for the Strategic Track: C-level Insights on the morning of November 12. This panel will feature top-line speakers who will be discussing critical topics, including the sustained appeal of biostimulants and microbials, key technology breakthroughs, opportunities for investment, and strategies to engage the next generation of scientists. Attendees will be able to gain insights into the growth of biologicals compared to traditional agrochemicals and emerging opportunities beyond nitrogen-fixing and regenerative agriculture.
Rovensa Next to showcase research on soil health at Biostimulants World Congress
Rovensa Next is delighted to announce its abstract presentation on soil health, soil metagenomics, and phosphorus recovery on November 14 at 14:35.
This presentation, which is part of the “science & technical track: the plant and soil microbiome: biostimulants, soil health and the optimization of nutrient and water use”, will be given by Camila Levy, the Global Agronomical R&D Manager, who will be explaining the findings from Rovensa Next’s latest research, entitled “The influence of a bacterial-based biostimulant on the recruitment of beneficial microorganisms”, which explores the role of biostimulants in enhancing soil vitality and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
This research aligns closely with Rovensa Next’s ongoing efforts to develop innovative biosolutions that address global soil health challenges, particularly through the use of microbial biostimulants.
Introducing Wiibio: the future of soil regeneration
In line with Rovensa Next’s R&D research on soil health, the Rovensa business unit will be introducing Wiibio, a biofertilizer with biostimulant properties designed to regenerate soil vitality. Wiibio, based on Bacillus subtilis, enhances soil microbiota and promotes plant growth by activating key microbial processes.
Wiibio, which is part of Rovensa Next’s holistic portfolio, addresses soil degradation. This is a critical issue, with 60-70% of European soils considered to be unhealthy, according to the European Commission. To make matters worse, the FAO estimates that this figure will rise to 90% globally by 2050.
The advantages of Wiibio include improvements in microbial diversity and nutrient efficiency, supporting healthier soils, better yields, and enhanced crop development across various growth stages.
Biosolutions with positive impact on sustainability
Rovensa Next’s biostimulant portfolio addresses growers’ needs with solutions like Phylgreen, a seaweed-based biostimulant that enhances plant tolerance to abiotic stress, and Humistar, a concentrated humic and fulvic acid-based biostimulant that promotes root growth, improves soil structure, and increases resilience to abiotic stress and water-use efficiency. Additionally, the business unit will showcase other innovations in biofertilizers, including Azzofix, designed to boost nutrient efficiency, and Phos-Up, which helps plants access soil-bound phosphorus for improved growth.
Commitment to innovation
Rovensa Next’s approach to biostimulation is grounded in extensive R&D and local expertise. The Innovation R&D Center in Campinas, Brazil, has pioneered ways to harness microorganisms to benefit agriculture, while the facility in Kilcar (Ireland), specializes in the sustainable processing of seaweed, preserving natural biostimulating compounds through gentle extraction methods. Additionally, the recent acquisition of Cosmocel, a leader in biostimulants from Mexico, reinforces Rovensa Next’s global expertise and outreach in this rapidly evolving market.
